This amazing vintage late model was driven by the owner Roland Cassidy of Carroll Street and ran the New England circuit of over nine tracks. This Circle track vintage race car has spent most of its life in Richmond VA. Carroll St. Auto LLC began vintage racing in 2006 with the Star Senior Tour on the New England circuit.
The body is a 1964 Chevrolet Chev II Nova. The roof was chopped and lowered 3". This all steel body has 1" Nerf bars, original front & rear chrome bumpers with added tubular support bumper bars and front and rear air dam spoilers. The chassis is an early 70s Nascar frame built by Emanuel Zervakis who used early to late 60s Chevrolet truck arms with independent coil springs in the rear with HD pan hard bar, tubular upper/lower front A-arms, 4 wheel disc brakes and Koni adjustable shocks all the way around. This car includes a Fuel cell and Halon fire suppression system.
The motor is a 4 bolt main, Brodex with aluminum heads, 010 block, 358 cu.in. displacement that delivers 570 @ the flywheel and approximately 484 at the rear wheel. Engine stats and specs are available upon request. MSD gal w/7000 rev chip. The transmission is a Muncie 4 spd., with 1st gear shaved, Tilton hydraulic clutch and Franklin quick rear end. New 5 point seat belt harness. Totally ready to hit the track!
I had the best had the best year's of my life flying by the seat of my pants with this vintage racer. Someone will be getting one heck of a car. The car has been sitting in heated storage for the past four years. We had the car all set up for NH Motor Speedways one mile track. Every year they have a vintage race week event, where you are running with everyone from as far as Las Vegas Nevada. Its a great group of people in the vintage racing industry.
