RBS is proud to bring the racers the finest small block LS Chevy gear drive on the market. This gear drive starts off with a billet alum. cover that is CNC machined to exact tolerances giving the motor it's best chance for accurate cam timing as well as the cover is O-ringed for a leak free seal without using a gasket.
Gear drive cover includes a O-ringed crank seal housing as well as a billet flat cam cover with cam sensor provision and is O-ringed for a leak free seal to the gear drive cover.
Gears are made from heat treated steel and are finish ground for complete concentricity. The gear set includes a single keyway crank gear set up for an LS SBC crank snout, idler gear that has the outer race ground into it using a high speed roller needle bearing and a cam gear that uses a nine hole vernier to dial in cam timing with a cam sensor plate. Billet cam retainer plate is included with a Torrington thrust bearing and mounting hardware.
The gear drive includes a mounting hardware kit, thrust bearing, as well as woodruff key and a seal housing and seal that are designed to be used with a LS SBC crank hub or dampner.
The cam hub uses a .375" hex shaft to drive the fuel pump off the cam if that is what the buyers application will be for. This gear drive is set up to be used on a standard or raised cam cast iron/alum. LS SBC, Dart or most other aftermarket LS blocks.
RBS can supply cam covers, fuel pump extensions and any other acc. you may need for the gear drive at additional cost.
