240Z Datsun/Nissan, SCCA E Production winning car. VIN#HLS3002851

Original Arizona car with little rust or wrecks. Car was stripped to bare metal and built on a jig plate. This is a competitive SCCA race car and has several podium finishes including wins with Log book and binders of receipts. This is a great car to go racing with and it will be one of the nicest built cars in the paddock.

Structure: 4130 chromoly roll cage / structure. Roll cage has NASCAR bar driver protection, Cage connects to front and rear strut towers. (additional tower to tower to firewall reinforcement that is removable for engine service). Jacking point through rockers to roll cage. Every other inch of the unibody has been welded for additional structure.

Body: Original Arizona body, front spoiler/fascia fiberglass reinforced for impact from curbs, Windshield, ¼ windows and rear window are all Lexan. Fiberglass hood and flairs, lightened doors and decklid. Fully sandblasted at time of build to remove the undercoating the Zcars came with and assure no rust.

Suspension: Shortened strut tubes to lower car and create coil overs for easy ride height adjustability. Tokico 5 way adjustable dampers, , Eibach springs, Custom chromoly control arms (front and rear) with aurora rod ends (jig provided), Rallyesport adjustable front sway bar, 2 different size rear bars with adjustable lengths, Camber / Castor plates on all 4 corners.

Brakes: Updated (within rule book allowance to vented front and rear with 280Z calipers and racing pads. Tilton Pedal Assembly with driver adjustable bias bar. Tilton Master cylinders sized for updated braking system and good brake feel.

Steering: Light weight solid connection from wheel to steering rack pinion via U-joint. Built to be collapsible via plastic sheer pins in case of front impact. Quick release steering wheel.

Wheels: Panasport 23 X 9.5 -15 tires and Enkie BBS look rain tires (never used – they are older but still raceable).

Fuel System: Dual / redundant Holley red pumps with external adjustable pressure regulator. Supplied via Fuel Safe Fuel Cell. All Fuel run through steel braded -6 lines.

Engine: Built to 260 Spec (have the 240 crank), Professionally built with over 35 hours of dyno time, Detailed specs only provided at sale, K&N filtration system into rebuilt / blanced Mikuni (SU) Carburetors. SPARES: Lash pad tuning set, Extra Carb parts including many hard to find needles, Oil system and filtration external to engine for easy inspection. Rallye/sport extra capacity baffled oil pan, ATL Race Damper.

Exhaust: Rallyesport headers with custom 3”??? exhaust through a very quiet (with minimal HP loss) muffler capable of meeting most tracks requirements. Equipped for two lambda sensors

Driveline: Two 5 speed transmissions, Limited Slip Differential, Rallye/sport Clutch and NISMO aluminum flywheel. 390 diff. All required shims for building the differential. Solid U joints (took me a few years to find a brand that would hold up more than a weekend)

Cooling System: External oil cooler fed with -10 steel braided lines, NISMO Racing oil pump. Aluminum Radiator supplied with Silicone hoses, 12V (not engine driven) fan. SPARES: multiple oil pumps, oil priming tool.

Electrical System: Ignition runs an independent cylinder adjustable timing system via MSD 7AL. with MSD plug wires and 6 coil packs. Cylinder timing via crank shaft driven MSD cam timing wheel with customer electronic distributor. Wired for data acquisition (steering, wheel speed, Exhaust Gas temp, oil temp, Lambda, brake and throttle position, ignition. Currently no acquisition system installed but still have dash system.
12V system protected via aircraft grade push button breakers (no fuses), Autometer Gauges (water, Tach, Oil Press, Oil Temp) and GReddy A/F gauge.
Other: New racing belts, Plumbed for fire system (bottle needs to be refreshed), Lots of spares not listed that will save you money and most importantly time. 2” binder of receipts.

Professionally built and maintained. $22,500 OBO, Motivated to sell and will sell this season. No tolerance for convoluted purchase agreements (scams).

I’d like to see it go to someone in the Great Lakes Division so I can pass along the time consuming and expensive 12 year Z car learning curve. I’m selling my Datsun 240Z E/P race car due to family commitments (kids). I have owned the car for 25 years.
