Update: I am the former driver/mechanic, the owner has unfortunatly passed and the family is asking me to broker the sale. This is not a show car, It is a balls out go fast car. If you want a car that will beat most anything on track this IS the car for you. Clutchless shift dog box for gear changes faster than anything (yes even faster than those PDK porsche trans), custom gear ratio trans that keeps your head pinned in the seat when your foot is on the gas. If you're looking for a pretty car to impress your buddies just spray a fresh coat of paint on it and then go whip their butts around the local track. I love this car, it has been so much fun to drive and I would personally buy it if I didn't already have my own Honda Challenge race car.
The 06 is up for sale. This is Bryan Dobyn's old car. Holds the GTA record at Summit Point, 2.00's or better all day long at VIR, 1.57's at Daytona road course and second place finishes against GT1 cars running SU. Former ASA car converted to road race. Custom built shocks (bilstine bodies, ohlins shafts, penske internals built by a guy at penske), Tex T101A dog box, Watts linked Tiger quick change rear, 5.5" clutch, fresh LS1 with 2 stage dry sump GTA legal car. It is turn key ready and as reliable as a miata.
Engine is rebuilt GTA legal LS1. ASA cam LS6 springs, un touched heads, intake and bottom end. Rockers have trunnion upgrages, otherwise it is the same exact engine that came sealed for ASA. Oil pan has been modified for dual pickups and 2 stage built Razor scavenge pump returning to a Peterson tank and double filtered, one on return one on feed. Made 415whp on dynojet with the SLP air box lid.
Big Sierra 4 piston's with internal springs up front and Willwood's out back haul the car down from 170mph on the VIR back straight with ease.
Clutch in the car works perfectly but have a spare set of discs new in box as back up. Extra quick change gears also included
Comes with lots of good rubber. 2 sets of 1 day each Goodyears, 10 Hoosier 3035s and a new set of dirt mediums for the rain (plus the roll arounds) and all the extra wheels pictured. Also a big two level tire cart (not pictured)
Brakes are good, suspension is good, engine is good, trans just gone through and is good, rear end good... etc. This car is well sorted and literally ready to start up and go. Just had the the fluids changed and a full going through in prep for 2016 season, but we didn't even bring it out of the garage all year.
Comes with Cool-suit and helmet blower. Radio accessories are NOT included.
