UPDATE: We got to make one final track outting before winter. Got the exhaust leaks fixed but did not get the new boost controller in. Made a go of figuring out the MSD and ended up re-wiring it to get it to work. Managed a [email protected] pedaling most of the front half of the track and running 40 mph out the back. Over the winter I am going to clean up some of the wiring put the new boost controller in and get ready for spring.
We also mounted a new alternator cut off relay so the switch now works when the car is running. I also have the NHRA chassis inspector coming to re-cert the cage.
New owner can be running mid 8's in the spring time!! Above Added: Sun November 4, 2018, 4:06 pm PST
Update: I have been sorting out the car with the new motor with some street miles and a trip to the track. Only made a few test passes with the car nothing exciting. Car goes straight no fluid leaks or issues. It has developed an exhaust leak which hurt ET but will be fixed this week. Car ran 140 mph on only 17 psi of boost!! This is at least a mid 9 sec pass on a very mold street tune! The car will go mid 8's!.
I am also going to replace the MSD boost controller with a new Boost leash with bump box. I am also getting belts cage and window net re-certified. I plan to have the car out again in early spring. No change in price with new upgrades. Above Added: Fri October 26, 2018, 5:34 am PST
