2004 Winnebago Adventurer 38 foot custom built by Winnebago for special-needs people in wheelchairs
Original cost in 2004 $220,000, all documentation from build included
RV has a Braun wheelchair lift (800 pound capacity) able to pick up somebody in a power chair easily. The lift is under the awning so if it is raining you don’t get completely soaked.
Roll in shower and roll under sink in bathroom. Trapeze over bed to assist with moving person but not made to transfer from chair to bed, will help with repositioning when person is in the bed.
The driver seat is fully power adjustable to allow somebody to transfer from wheelchair and drive it, but the coach does not have hand controls for driving.
Also has a washer and dryer installed in the bedroom and TV’s have been updated to flat screens.
In April I had the following work performed, new electric awning, roof scraped and resealed, generator serviced, engine serviced. New Koni shocks and Saf-T-Ride steering stabilizer also installed prior to trip to Grand Canyon. In October upgraded refrigerator circuit boards to newer design. Plug wires were replaced when I first got it (common Issue) and it runs very strong.
Things that do not work – Leveling system, Radio in dash and satellite TV
Needs - Front tires which I will have installed for buyer, Drivers seat power mechanism is wobbly when stationary (I braced it for driving).
