I’m moving to a different racing class, so I need to sell my top-of-the-line Spec Boxster race car.
If you’re looking for a world-class Boxster that was built to win, this is the best car you can buy, period.
I had it built by Kent Porter at Precision Chassis Works in 2015. If you’ve been involved in the Porsche racing scene, you know that most of the championship winning cars the past few years were all built by PWC.
We started with a carefully selected donor car… A 1999 Boxster with just 18,900 miles on it.
At that point Kent and I spec’d out the best build possible and he went to work…
It’s got “the works”...
Carbon seats, a Cool Suit system with blower, radios, a racing sump, and unbelievable weld quality.
We also added a full Race-Keeper data system, complete with front, rear, and interior shift cameras and a key-less push-button start.
I’ve only competed in the car twice during the 2016 and 2017 PCA Club Races at COTA, which means it’s fully compliant, and you could literally show up at the next race and compete without having to touch it.
The car has performed flawlessly without a single breakdown of any kind and it’s completely contact free.
All of the body panels are the originals and so is the wrap.
It’s been maintained and serviced after every use by Soul Speed here in Austin, so please feel free to contact Collin if you’d like to get his opinion about the quality and of the car and its service history.
If you’re looking to buy a world-class Spec Boxster, or if you want to upgrade your current wheels to a championship capable machine, this is an opportunity to acquire a car of this quality today, instead of waiting 6+ months to build one from scratch.
It cost me around $68,000 for the donor car and the build. (I can send you the entire build-sheet spec and estimate so you can take a look for yourself).
I’m willing to let it go for $62,500.
Right now there aren’t any other Boxsters available at this level of quality and finish-out, and Kent has retired from building new ones, so this is an EXTREMELY rare car with a completely transparent and documented build history, and perfect performance history.
Sure, most Spec Boxsters are much less, but you get what you pay for.
My friend Brent learned that the hard way when he bought his used Spec. There was no information on the builder, it had a sloppy built-out, and it’s been a maintenance nightmare, breaking down almost every single weekend. Over the past 18 months, he’s had to put another $30,000 into the car just to get it up to par.
If you want to save money, you can go that route, but you’ll definitely end up paying for it in the end. Worse, you’ll never really know if your laps times are being slowed by you, or your machine.
With this car, you’ll know you’ve got the very best from the start, and you can simply focus on improving your setup and skills.
NEED A TRAILER for it?
I had a gorgeous trailer built just for this car, which I can include in a package deal…
It’s a completely custom aluminum race trailer from In-Tech that was built by hand in 2016.
In-Tech is the only trailer company in the country that provides a transferable 5 year warranty, (which means it’s still covered for another 3-4 years).
It’s 8.5’ x 20’ and weighs just 3,320 lbs. The GVR rating is 7,000 pounds, giving it a towing capacity of 3,680.
I’ve included the entire spec-sheet here so you can see the details for yourself, and images of the trailer that were taken throughout its construction…
The build quality is stunning… (please email me for images).
Just like the race car, the trailer is in LIKE-NEW condition.
I paid $19,100 for it. (Invoice available upon request).
If you’d like to purchase the trailer by itself, it’s available for $14,900
Together, my cost to build the Spec Boxster and the trailer was $87,000+, plus transportation fees, etc..
I’m willing to sell them together as a package for just $72,000. That’s a $15,000 savings, a fully-documented pedigree, AND six months build time that you won’t have to wait for.
