600 horsepower lurks under the hood
When it was introduced in 1999, the Honda S2000 had little issues in the way of performance. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine pumped out a hearty 237 horsepower (176 kilowatt), and at its fastest, posted a 0-60 mph time of about 5.4 seconds.
Under the hood of this one, though, is something much meaner than a stock four-cylinder. The 2.2-liter engine (per 2005 and newer) has been boosted to a jaw-dropping 600 horsepower at the crank.
All that newfound performance comes courtesy of a Kings Performance Stage 2 turbo kit. At the wheels, it will put down 505 horsepower on 93 octane fuel, and includes a number of upgrades. The upgrades range from KP Bosch 1000cc injectors, to an Omni Power 4 Bar MAP sensor, to new Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position wheels, and of course, a roll bar for added safety, just to name a few.
Built by Kings Performance in Florida, It cost over $18,000 to upgrade. Just over 96,000 original miles are on the odometer, the manual gearbox remains, as does the original red and black interior, and most of the exterior parts are stock, making it the ultimate sleeper.
