This car was developed as an “ultimate” Porsche 914 track car. It was the second car built with the same goal in mind; safe, fast, and with the ability to compete in historic, vintage, SCCA, NASA or Porsche Club events. The previous car was successfully campaigned in SCCA GT2 for four seasons resulting in three regional championships. This car is a much, much better car. Several first place finishes in SCCA GT2, first place finishes in several historic events as well as workers choice award and best in show.
This 914-6 started life as a white car, with a 2.0 liter mechanical injected six. I have owned the car for about 12 years. When I purchased it from the previous owner he had elected to keep the original motor, injection system and title. The car had been stripped down and the Sheridan wide body kit was partially installed. There are clues as to its provenance; factory six cylinder engine mount and factory raised spindle struts amongst other things….. But this is a side note. As the car stands today it is a fast, well prepared race car with a winning history. NOTE: I am not aware of any clear proof this car could be documented as a 6 cylinder car. If I had the proof the price would double, lol.
