Description

Up for sale is my ’97 Cobra mustang. It is a true Cobra that has never been used as a daily driver. Originally purchased by Eric Dillard of ProLine engine as a modular/turbo project that was featured in Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords magazine 2006:

Today it is a well thought out race car that can be driven on the street long distance. Just finished a great year as a top competitor in the Drag Week Street Race Small Block power adder class. I finished 3rd out of 50 entries with an average ET only .007 seconds behind first place. It is capable of running 8.30’s @ 167mph in the ¼ with a safe tune up using C16 fuel with an average boost of 20psi. I have the video and time slips to prove it. It can be street driven on pump gas by removing the blower belt and loading the N/A tune or just leave the blower connected and avoid stepping on the gas too hard and building boost. All fabrication work professionally done. This car is a quality build that has been meticulously maintained. Paint is a good 8.5 out of 10. All steel body except for the hood. Factory glass windows.
The engine is very durable, cam specs are relatively modest so the valve train is low maintenance. Cooling system is excellent in hot weather. Converter is very streetable, even when towing a trailer. Full electrical including power windows, horn, dome lights, neutral safety, and back up lamps. The sound of the exhaust and Procharger is awesome. Throttle response is instantaneous.

I am selling this car in order to build another one and step up to a faster class.
Every aspect of this vehicle has been refined over the last several years in order to achieve the type of performance, durability, and serviceability needed to compete on Drag Week.
It would be extremely competitive in any 8.50 index class and at the same time, make a killer street car that very few wannabe’s around town can touch.
