1973 Ford Pinto. 347 sbf V8. 4.70 gear 8" rear. 6 pt roll cage. Car is literally a barn find. Found it in a barn. It had been sitting 15 years. Older, well built racecar. So, Since... New Hoosier Quick time pros, 100amp tough stuff 1 wire alt. Solid cam. .550 lift. Roller rockers. 66' 289 heads. Est. Compression in the 12.5 to 1 range. Custom Double pumper. Ditched the points for Pertronix. Autometer tach w/shift light, Elec. Waterpump, elec fan. Holley black elec fuel pump. New fuel reg. 2 gal. Fuel cell. Gauges etc.. Car fires and runs. Has Line lock, pro bandit shifter with button, C4 w/ race converter. Stall unknown but its loose enough for me. Disc brakes. Trans is tight. Basically, it needs a front caliper swapped/installed (goes with car) and an oil change, then race ready imo... Axle has posi unit, but, I think it slips so ordered a spool.. (Probably from sitting.) On stands both wheels are locked but it peg legs during a burnout.. Incl. Is a mini spool to eliminate carrier. I wanted to make sure both axles were absolutely locked before I gotbraked the car...and I have all parts left to complete it. Black interior is mint. It needs the lower rear seat assm and a pass Seat. Guys, it has a clean NC title and can be street driven as well... custom Cowl hood. New master cylinder. Optima blue top batt. I'd prefer to sell rather than trades. The Ext. Is long tube headers with mufflers and turn outs by rear tires. Has traction bars and subframe conectors. Trans cooler. This is a Solid rust free car. Barn stored car. Zero rust. And clear titled. I do not know the history but would love too. Would make a very solid bracket car. I just have too many irons in the fire so it needs to go. I can only race one this year and the wife was going to drive this one.. Motor is under 100 miles from what I can tell. Really clean and well built. Someone spent a lot of money on this car back when. I would not he surprised if it was purpose built when new. This is the cleanest pinto I have ever seen and it was done right. Id like to find the right owner for this one. I can provide more info and videos if you need. Personally I think it'll run 6.90s as is in no box or footbrake.
