Description

For sale: 1999 C5 modified for track use. Started as a 99 FRC Z51, but just about everything mechanical on the car has been replaced within the last few years. From the engine, to the suspension, interior, etc. Just about every important part on the car has been swapped out with new/upgraded parts. I didn't modify it for any specific class or event, just focused on the weak points of the car and general improvements for a track toy. About $50k invested and the end result is a laser sharp car that is well balanced and easy to drive fast, without going full race car (it still has an interior and A/C). The head unit died and was replaced with a carbon fiber panel (figured I could mount gauges or switches there some day), but the speakers and wires are still present if you want a radio. The car is street legal and drives in traffic just fine. Exact miles unknown because the previous owner installed a newer Z06 cluster. It has been very solid and ran great at recent HPDEs, including Gridlife South which is 3 consecutive days of driving. The exterior is not perfect with imperfections consistent for a car of its age and being used for track duty, though it was repainted by the previous owner, so the paint is better than most comparable cars. Complimentary jean shorts and New Balance shoes included with sale.

-LS3 swap (440hp/404tq to the wheels)
-Texas Speed Cam (unknown spec, but pretty mild for a flat tq curve)

-LED headlight conversion (manual popup operation)

Interior:
-Sparco EVO II US seats
-AMT ultra low seat brackets
-Removed head liner for extra helmet clearance (I’m 6’3”)
-Custom aluminum partition between cabin and trunk
-Battery relocated to trunk
-Brey-Krause harness bar
-Crow Enterprize 5-point harnesses
-Flocked dashboard
-A/C still present
-New A/C blower assembly, coils, and drier
-Factory head unit deleted and replaced with CF panel (speakers and wire still present if you want radio, but I never did)
