This very unique Rambler American was built at the factory as a prototype racecar in Brampton, Ontario. It was the test mule for the factory backed Shell 4000 program that entered 3 cars in the event based on this car. The 1968 event ran from Calgary to Halifax with the 3 Ramblers finishing 2nd, 3rd and 5th, capturing the team award. The car was later sold to a Canadian racer who ran the car at Harewood and Mosport tracks, as well as some winter rallies. I have a very extensive collection of original documents from the factory on the modifications done to all 4 cars to prepare them for competition. Hundreds of photographs during the restoration also go with it. Anyone interested in this one of a kind car should call me, there is far too much information and history to put here. Call me any time,
