GM LS7 based Race Engines. GM Built in Wixom, MI. Serial number GMR703 and GMR704. These are unique ready-to-run engines, perfect for a sand car, boat or bracket race-car team. They were originally built for AVR-1, an offshore race boat to reset the world speed record it set back in 2008. Engines were built in late 2014, calibrated with MSD Atomic EFI and shelved. They have less than 1.5 hours on them for calibration only. Boat was converted over to a Duramax Diesel setup to set a different record before the engines could be used. They have been turned over every 6-9 months to exercise the valve-train. Currently setup with stock LS7 intake and throttle body. Currently 650HP, with the addition of an MSD Atomic AirForce intake manifold and 102MM Throttle body, they will make ~680HP. These engines are very durable. We ran the previous set of engines for over 300 race miles with no problems. Never seen salt-water or any fresh-water coolant, only DexCool 50/50.
This was a GM engineered race engine: LS7 block, has 13.7:1 Compression ratio, Mahle pistons, GM 88958773 camshaft, ARP studs, 6.1” Callies Rods, Forged Callies Crank, comes with GM build book for both engines. The long blocks come with the Stock LS7 Intakes, Throttle Bodies, and brand new MSD Atomic EFI. Throttle bodies and Intakes along with select dress parts were part of the boat’s original setup and have signs of wear. Long blocks however are brand new with only 1.5 calibration hours.
