The Bitchin’ Gasser is a 1957 Chevy Bel Air street/strip car that’s radical, unforgettable and of course totally bitchin. The build of this car was featured on Bitchin’ Rides Season 3 Episode 4, where Dave, Kev Dogg and crew completely reworked this ride to transform it into the head turning, tire burning, street legal race machine worthy of being called the Bitchin’ Gasser.

Checkout Season 3, Episode 4 of Bitchin’ Rides ”The Bitchin’ Gasser” to watch the build and see the car in action!

No expense was spared in choosing the best parts and using top notch craftsmanship when building this car. Below are just a few of the highlights:

- Full tube chassis built by renowned chassis builder Jim Meyer Racing, same chassis builder used for the Roadkill Blasphemi gasser

- 540 Big Block Chevy built by TRE, all aluminum Dart block, Brodix heads, runs on pump gas and was dynoed at 900hp

- Lenco ST1200 transmission, McLeod RXT Street Twin Clutch with a hydraulic throwout bearing, Strange 9” Ford rear end

- Original 57 Chevy Bel Air all steel body w/fiberglass doors, trunk lid and one piece front end

- Original 57 Chevy Bel Air dash with AutoMeter gauges

- MSD 7AL-3 ignition, line lock, fully adjustable shocks front and rear

- Custom tilt front end assembly that locks solid in place and is easily opened and closed

- Custom bell housing that is NHRA SFI approved, full roll cage, driveshaft loop

- All aluminum interior with Kirkey aluminum bucket seats and 5 way racing harnesses

- Alternative Kirkey full containment racing seat that is easily swapped out to meet NHRA rules when going from street to full strip mode

- Real glass in all windows, no plexiglass. Weighs a little more but works much better on the street

- Center Line wheels with MT street tires and an alternative set of Billet Specialties Comp 5 wheels with Moroso drag front and Goodyear drag slicks (see photos with racing slicks) *Note: one slick is not holding air after setting for over a year and may need to be replaced.

- Car was tuned to run quarter miles in the 10’s (9.99 or slower) at Salt Lake City’s 4,226’ elevation. Engine was built to handle a supercharger or pro charger so if desired the car can be much quicker. Has fewer than 30 actual passes on the track
