This week is my melt down week. If by chance you have clicked onto my Gallery section. I share with you a short summary of the brave men from my Airborne unit that served in South Vietnam. At the start of the Thanksgiving week. November the 21st of 1967, paratroopers from the 2nd & 4th Battalion was order to take a hill know only as Hill 875. Close to 10:00am on Thanksgiving morning hill 875 was taken. Paratroopers sat on top of the summit which had been blown away from hundreds of 1,000 lb bombs & napalm strikes. 911 has been front & center, yet Vietnam stories echo from lonely old guys in a empty bar or a homeless guy seeking warmth under an overpass or he is the guy you use to know but has walked away from everyone & never will return. If you pass or see a Vietnam vet with a hot or jacket on during these holidays. Thank him for making it back home. We didn't fight for this COUNTRY. We hump the dirt each day because we had to. We moved forward each for our buddies that had our backs & would die for us. Over 300 brave paratroopers die on Hill 875, another 200 was wounded. I thank GOD I'm alive. I share with you what little I can. But it's not always about GOD, COUNTRY & the RED, WHITE & BLUE. It's get up & take what someone has order you to take. Young men will fight, kick, bite & murder anything in it's path to get back home. GOD BLESS AMERICA. HOT RODS to HELL & back. Climb in, strap yourself good. Then let the muscle rip. HOT RODS for ever.
