About Me -

I was corrupted at age 5 with an 8 HP go kart. From there we went on to dirt bikes, 3-wheelers, then cars. The first car I raced was my dad's 10-second 69 Chevelle. I was 15. We bracket raced a lot for 3 years, then broke a bunch of parts one year and decided to take some time off.
Some high school buddies and I built a dirt track car and we wasted 4 years playing on the mud. I gave that up after getting married in 94. I then got into autocross due to it being affordable.
In 2001 we entered the Grassroots Motorsports Challenge. We earned "most spectacular failure" and made the cover of the mag with a 79 Mustang. We returned to that event the next 3 years with a v8 Z-car and finally won it in 2004.
In 2003, dad and I were invited to Car Craft's Real Street Eliminator with his red Mustang and got 2nd overall. That event ended on my birthday that year, which made it extra cool to do well.
Since then, we have gotten back into drag racing more consistantly. I still run the Z-car a few times a year, as well as being Crew Chief on Damon Dais' True Street 79 Pace Car.
We are currently trying to finsh a Drag Radial Mustang for NMRA competition. I also hope to get the Chevelle back together this summer (it has been idle since 89), then after that we have a tube chassis Henry J to finish.
