" That leads to the final point I want to make: We can see evidence for the validity of salvation in our desire to conduct ourselves in a way that pleases YAHWEH. According to 1 John 3:9, “Whoever has been born of YAHWEH does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of YAHWEH.” If we’re not careful, we might interpret this verse to teach that anyone who is born of YAHWEH never sins. That would conflict with other passages in the Bible that describe us as fallible and often failing. In 1 John 3:9, the word for sin is a present active infinitive and it describes a continuous action. John is not saying that whoever sins once is not born of YAHWEH. That would disqualify all of us. It would certainly disqualify me. But John is saying, in effect, “Whoever keeps on willfully sinning, violating YAHWEH’s law with stubborn disregard and ongoing wickedness, cannot have assurance of salvation.” If we are truly saved, we will grieve over our sins, confess them, and seek YAHWEH’s grace to do better. His grace is inexhaustible and His salvation is irreversible. Make sure you have confessed YAHSHUA as your Savior, and then trust Him with your eternal future. He will never leave you or forsake you. His Word was given that you might know YAHSHUA as your Savior and that you might know that you have eternal life. You can have assurance of salvation today."

About Me -

Member for: 10 years, 7 months, 11 days

Jason Oldfield - 2nd Generation drag racer out of Rochester, NY. Drive an original 1963 Chevy Corvette that my dad (John Oldfield) purchased in 1964. The car simply started as a hot rod, then, in 1971 with the help of my uncle, Dick Oldfield (the original driver of the famed Motown Missile Pro Stocker), was converted to a full-time race car in 1971. The car was raced in Modified Eliminator at the time in C/G, D/G, and E/G, and competed primarily at Lancaster Dragway outside of Buffalo, NY. However, Cayuga Dragway (now Toronto Motorsports Park), Empire Dragway (now New York International Raceway Park), and Niagara Dragway (defunct) were other frequented locations.

I now race the car primarily in NHRA Super Street and IHRA Hot Rod, but also run occasionally in Super Gas and Super Rod. I would consider my home track NYIRP, but travel all over the northeast to race in NHRA & IHRA sanctioned division and national events.
