I raced stock cars, both sportsmen and late models, both in the 80's for 5 years. I don't know if this record still stands today at Beaver Dam Raceway, I turned the SLOWEST Fast lap for the sportsmen cars one Wednesday night because the track was so watered down and sloppy. That's not say that I didn't have any really fast times. I did, i was getting really good at having the fast time for the night. Easy points!!!!
I also was the first Sportsmen car to get a Radio Station to sponsor my car, something that only the late model drivers could get until then.#94 WKTI FM....
Hales Corners Speedway was my home track, and raced every Saturday night for 5 years. Won Rockie of the year and was in the top 5 in points my last 2 years, Finishing second my last year. I also loved racing at Slinger Super Speedway..
THE FASTEST 1/4 MILE OVAL IN THE WORLD!!!!!! And YES sports fans.......Slinger, and Hales Corners Speedways are the same race tracks that Alan Kulwicki The Winston Cup, now The Sprint Cup Champion was for 1992. He raced with me the first year I raced in 1980.And then he moved down south to race Winston Cup.
I have always love cars, and worked on my own up until they started putting computers in them. ha ha!!!! I bought a 1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA IN 2009 that was a all original car and only 2 owners before me. It has all options except for T-Tops and Leather Seats, and The Digital Dash... It now has 92,000 miles on it,and had 75,000 when I got her. So she doesn't get trailered to car shows. I did get her to have a fun weekend car to drive. I have to look for the box with all my old stock car photos, so I can post those as well.
