My name is Gary Claybrook born 1963, 18 in a 49 year old body, I started out as a young kid enjoying fast cars riding with my dad & checking out all the cars on the road in the mid-sixties & throughout the mid-seventies, also driving my uncles jeep. I had plenty of fun with my bicycles, go carts, mini bikes & motorcycles & learning to weld with my older bro at 11 he was 12 during that time. In 1976 my bro & I got a Christmas present from our grandpa a 1965 Meyers Manx style dune buggy which we drove the life out of. I turned 16 in 1979 where I got my first car a 64 falcon 4 door with a 6 cylinder I blew it up racing my bro on his Honda CL350, not satisfied with that car I sold it after rebuilding it & bought a 69 Torino GT with a 351 Windsor it didn’t last long I bought a 72 Vega with a 4 cylinder it blew up racing a 66 charger, then it got a 327 with a pg it was a fun car to race around in 10th grade though the summer, traded it for a Suzuki rm250 then bought a 68 mustang coupe with a 351 Windsor raced it through 11th grade sold it to my bro, I had a built 71 olds 442 with a 455 in 12th grade also my triumph chopper. After high school in 81 I bought a Vega wagon with a built 396 & turbo 400 hooker swap kit 2-1/4” headers vary fast & fun car. After that I had a bike wreck with my best buddy broken arm for 2 years, started drinking more lots of trouble & jail time till 1988, then I bought the 64 nova with a 6 cyl & pg, took it home from work on Friday night swapped to 350 with 350 drove to work on Monday, sold it in 92, I always had some kind of race car during this time a lot of cars wish I had some of them back like 30 5 window modal a looked like American graffiti car. got into 4x4s till two years ago I bought a 73 ford courier pickup for $100 with a hooker procomp header conversion, this is what I’m working on right now, I have a new Ford racing Boss 302 block, sonny Bryant 3.400 billet crank (347ci), Oliver rods, wiseco pistons, Herbert solid roller J6F cam 672/668 lift 303/310 dur, comp cams endure lifters, aluminum heads 205int. 160exh. Wiend tunnel ram 2 660s, manual C4 Trans w/ 8” 4500 stall, nine inch rear 4.56 gears Detroit locker 31 spline Mark Williams axles, 33x21.5x15 M/T tires, satin centerline wheels. Just need to put everything together. Also still have a 87 jeep Cherokee rock crawler, 60 scout 4x4, 69 Baja bug 2007 dual 46 Kadron's, 2006 Honda XR650L & 72 Cobalt Tri hull Boat.
