50 something… kid at heart…like fast things; cars, motorcycles, women (already caught fast woman) building faster car.
I started out on 2 wheels, played with the semi-pro and the wife thought I should grow up. Ditched the wife, son got older and I enjoyed racing the vet class while he tore up the 125 class. After the 3rd collar bone, new wife said enough and I turned to drag racing. Built my ’46 Chevy pick-up from the ground up. During the build I raced the wife’s Opel GT, my Bronco II and 4-wheel drive pick-up. My buddy told me the ’46 would be a piece of cake – yeah but it took 3 years! The 350 has been good to me taking me to Pro points champion in 2002. Then I got stupid and volunteered to be maintenance superintendant at my track and lost my focus. At the end of the 2009 season the wife and I decided enough is enough and we’ve decided to let someone else take care of the track and to focus on racing. Picked up a new motor on Racingjunk.com and we’ll spend the winter making my purple ’46 a little faster (9.00’s).
Likes: Fast cars, fast bikes, wife that lets me play (aka crew chief)
Dislikes: Obama, current state of the economy, stupid people
