About Me -
Member for: 7 years, 3 months, 20 days
I have been a big fan of drag racing every since my son and I attended our first NHRA national event in 1998 in Englishtown, New Jersey. I was so hooked that I purchased a Jr. Dragster and we formed the D & G Racing team where I was his crew chief for 8 years.
We had a some good times and some bad times with our racing, but I would not trade any of it for the bond that my son and I shared. We traveled as far as Georgia and Tennessee to race and we met a lot of nice people.
I would like to continue that tradition with a big car once my son completes his college education.
Meanwhile, I will be getting some seat time in my 1970 firebird sometime this year. i can't wait!!!
Hello Drag Racing world!
There have been major changes in drag racing career. I did not get the 1970 Firebird, instead I picked up the 1988 Don Ness Monte Carlo "Aerocoupe" SS tube chassis car that you see in my pic gallery. This is one bad hombre!..I dropped a Shairoff 598 w/power glide and this thing really gets after it! Nice and straight she goes. This car is a joy to drive and has the best parts that money can buy. The chassis resembles the pro stock style structure that gives it that "pro" appeal and being that it has the "areocoupe" body style, it is a very unique car...no other race car like it in the world.
I have been competing in the DIV I LODRS Top Sportsman class for about a year and a half. Each year has been a learning exeperience and we have some top notch competition with the likes of Ryan Ondrejko, Anthony Arcuni Jr., Jeff Brooks, Michael Kaufman, and Ron Riegel just to name a few. Looking forward to mixing it up with these guys in 2013!
