My name is Brad.
I started racing in the mid 70’s with Chevelles. In 1980 I bought my first 240Z. I drove that car for only a few months in its stock configuration and I just couldn’t stand it any longer. I plucked the 6 out and with in a few months I rolled it out of the shop with its first of many big block chevy’s and a turbo 400. After some time I got the urge to go faster and decided it was time to tear the car back down, and in 1990 it made its debut with its new full frame and Big tire 9” rear end. Since then it has gone through many engine, transmission, and fuel system combinations to its current configuration with a 500+ cubic inch Big Block Chevy, Power glide transmission and Gear Vender over drive. The 14-71 SSI Supercharger and EFI system was purchased right here through RJ in March of 07. Thank you Mike.
My goal was to have a very street able combination running pump gas. Run cool in traffic, be easy on parts, And run in the 8.90 range in street trim.
I am changing things up a bit. Just recently i purchased a Shafiroff 540 inch short block to put under my blower. I also decided to go back to the original intake and 16 injector system. This time controlling it with a Tec3r System by Electromotive. I also updated the chassis to cert to 7.50. Completely reworked my rear end with a new fabricated housing (Thank you Winters Racing) and an all aluminum Strange center section. This all in preparation for this year’s 2012 Hot Rod Drag Week starting in Tulsa Oklahoma. September 10th.
