packman2504 "WITH REGRET: America idolized and memorialized Whitney Houston, yet looked the other way concerning her well known substance abuse and tumultuous life with singer Bobby Brown. Charlie Sheen is 45 and his story is all over the news because he is a substance abuser, an adulterer, sexually promiscuous and obnoxious. Lindsay Lohan is 24 and her story is all over the news because she is a celebrity drug addict and thief. Something as frivolous as Kim Kardashian's stupid wedding [and short-lived marriage] was shoved down our throats like they count for something, WHILE........ Justin Allen 23, Brett Linley 29, Matthew Weikert 29, Justus Bartett 27, Dave Santos 21, Jesse Reed 26, Matthew Johnson 21, Zachary Fisher 24, Brandon King 23, Christopher Goeke 23, and Sheldon Tate 27. They were all Marines who gave their lives last month for us. There is no media for them; not even a mention of their names. Young Men who most likely came from rural America seeking a chance to better themselves and to serve this county. Honor THEM by sending this on. I did, will you? If you are a true American, please post this in your current status too! Thank you!"

Hello Packman. Great to be friends with you. Yesterday. I have always been told is just a day behind me. Move forward. Don't look back. In 1965 I was 18 years old, weighed 94 lbs. & very in mature as to the world. Draft papers came, stood on the scales & the doctor said I would grow. So off to the Army I went with 74 other guys from my home town. I made it through basic training because I didn't want to go back home as a failure. I was sent to medic school to be a Medic. Then onto parachute training & made it by the grace of GOD. A week later I was in South Vietnam with the 173rd Airborne. I made it back to this country only by being who I had to be there in Nam. Some times when the darkness clouds me. I call up an old brother from Nam. Guys I laid beside during night ambushes. Or trying to hold on for 5 more minutes before someone died. Came home to a screwed up country I called the real world. But it was back in Nam that life was a real world. Most of the people in this country just do not care about the every day young man or girl serving our country. I know at times it is hard to swallow how this country is & where it is headed. But my friend, it is people like you that puts a smile on our faces. You lift someone out there or a family that has lost someone in battle. Keep standing tall my friend, because you give us hope that things might change. (Airborne. All the Way).
