PHOENIX Chassis (Turnkey Crate LM for Kids!)
$4,500 Less Trailer, Motor, Trans. D/S & S/W.
$4,500 Less Trailer, Motor, Trans. D/S & S/W.
$16,500.00
TRAILER: Price includes $3500.00 for a street legal, Titled, Inspected and Licensed, Dove-tailed Custom open tag Trailer (some States (like NC) can be funny about Out-Of-State racecar trailers). Trailer equipped w/two row Tire Rack, Electric winch, 5000KW Generator, 4X8 heavy aluminum diamond plate viewing platform (perfect for hauling extra racecar front bumper/nose)over larger enclosed box and loading ramps. Good Wide-5 load tire and like new Trailer spare. Less than 1,200 miles on new 4 brake axles and ST Tires ( ... will sell the car without the trailer, but not the trailer without the car).
This car was specifically built for: young /small / new to Dirt Late Model racing drivers. NOT novice racers. Months of trial and error went into design and testing of components to see what works and what doesn't. Driver safety and comfort came first, then the focus was devoted towards making a car that would handle well under all track conditions no matter what size track the car is on or what the racing surface is like.
Unlike most cars with conventional 4-bar suspension designs, this car is not a - 90% car 10% driver - deal. The car will not lock down on the track but you don't need to have the best motor out there in order to overcome that either. The car has to be driven to get the most out of it. This car is closer to a - 50% car 50% driver- deal. Just like back in the old STARS days and early Hav-A-Tampa days, a driver has to be good to get the most out of this equipment. There is a trade-off here. The car is sturdy and easy to maintain at the track. The technology will not send you to the poor house either, but the driver will be forced into becoming precise and smooth if he/she wants to go fast.
Once this car is set-up (and it's set-up now), the ONLY adjustments that might be required on race day are at the right front coil-over (+/- two turns), tire stagger/air pressure and quick-change gear. No fancy shocks or spring changes to worry about. No J-Bar, lift-bar or 4-bar adjustments to fuss with. Asphalt or dirt, big track or little track, heavy track or dry-slick ... makes no difference. This is truly a "driver's car" and the perfect platform for a young driver to get the hang of Dirt LM racing with.
COCKPIT & SAFETY FEATURES: Fuel-Safe (NASCAR Type) soft Kevlar bladder 22 gal. fuel cell in steel can protected by 1" sq. tubing fuel cell cage. Fully gusseted door bars. Corner braced Halo bar. A-Pillar bar. Collapsible steering shaft. Paw-Saver 15" dia. steering wheel w/PTT Button. All SS Quick-Release Hub (NASCAR approved). Simpson Belts w/sternum pad and buckle (2yrs old). Sprint-type window net. Carbon Fiber drive shaft. Steel reinforced tub to protect the driver's elbo/arm from exploding driveshaft components. Remote 10 LB Fire Bottle with all nozzles pointed at driver and release handle. Front to rear fully adjustable Brake, Clutch and Gas Pedal Assembly (a small 11 yr old kid can hot lap/race this car safely and comfortably.... and did). Two different size LaJoie full containment seats w/raised floor mounts, floor panels and leg side-support braces (one small size and one .... smaller size).
CHASSIS & SUSPENTION : Denso Beige powder-coated chrome-molly frame. Flex-A-Form Composite Parabolic Mono-Leaf Rear Suspension (No rear coil-overs) on Aluminum Pro Shocks. Dzus fasteners on Right & Left doors (for easy frame pressure washing) Blind-Nut Bolted F-Fender Quarters (for positive fit). Cowl-Induction Hood (keeps positive low air pressure to cold-air box while also keeping the breather mud-free). Remote battery charging terminals on rear deck. Open rear quarter windows. Both FASTRAK and StormPay rear spoilers with approved template cut side supports.
There might be newer or cheaper DLM cars for sale out there, but you won't find a safer or better built Dirt LM for a small/young person to learn how to drive in anywhere. We're selling this as an "entry level" car for a young driver ... but that doesn't mean it's a toy. The asking price is less than 1/2 of what the car cost to build. Our loss is your gain but the price is fair. If you'd like to get your young driver some early seat time, know anything about race cars and can do the math, you'll recognize this car as a great deal.
