Rhodes Race Cars Manufactures The Parts Racers Are Looking For

Rhodes Race Cars is a performance and parts manufacturer based out of Crete, Illinois.  Known for their Made in the U.S.A. approach, Rhodes Race Cars focuses on creating components that racers ask for specifically.  We sat down with Josh Rhodes, owner of Rhodes Race Cars, to learn a little more about the company.

1. Can you give me a little history of Rhodes Race Cars?

We started out  as a chassis shop, fabricating components and building race cars for local racers. We have shifted our focus to manufacturing components for all racers from sportsman to pro-mod. This allows us to sell our products that are used on the cars built in house directly to the racers.

2. What is the current focus of the company?

We are currently manufacturing chassis and suspension components for all different classes of racers– from guys looking to have fun once in a while on the weekend to the pro guys who travel all over the country racing. We currently offer 3 levels of products: Sportsman for entry level racers;  Pro Series, for competitive racers; and our Elite series for the professional racers.

We also have a complete line of fuel cells and water tanks available which we also make in house. In the near future we will be adding a lot of new “Bolt On” products for all the popular Ford, GM, and Mopar platforms.

3. You are big proponents of manufacturing in the USA. Can you tell us a little about this and talk about how you support it?

We manufacture everything in house from all the brackets and tabs in our in house water jet to all the fittings and components made in our CNC machines. We believe that keeping everything in house allows us to make a better product and maintain the quality standards that can only be achieved here in the US.

4. What are some of the products that you’d like our readers to know more about? And how are they made?

We will be releasing a lot of new “Bolt On”  components over the next year. This will include bolt in factory replacement fabricated aluminum gas tanks to a complete line of chassis and suspension components for all of the domestic brand vehicles.
