Miller Motorsports Park will continue to host racing in Utah, thanks to Mitime Investment and Development Group, a subsidiary of Chinese auto manufacturer Geely which also owns Volvo.  In May, the Larry Miller Group, the original owners of the park which houses a race track, kart track, museum, rock crawling course, and has been the home of the Ford Performance Racing School, announced they wouldn’t renew the lease. Tooele County was anxious to continue using the land as a motorsports park, and have been looking for a buyer.

Now, following a $20 million deal, and a proposed name change – to Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) – the facility will once again host racing and race-related activities, in part to give the Chinese investors a place to build interest in the burgeoning Chinese racing industry.

We look forward to seeing what the company has in mind, and to the continued presence of a world-class race track in Utah.
