Pinup of the Week: Christine Fury

Click Here to Begin Hey y'all! Your punk pinup Christine Fury here! I am a modern day pinup model and host. I have been fortunate enough to be involved in pinup modeling for the past five years. Started hosting events like pin-up contests, car shows, tattoo conventions a year or so after. Even have had my mug on TV shows on channels like Oxygen and TLC. Apparently I don't just have a face for radio LOL Or I do and no one has told me. Recently also threw some noodles against the wall to see what would stick and started doing event coverage/interviews/writing for magazines like Tattoo and Savage. I grew up loving pin up girls from the past and the reef girls in my Dad's surf magazines. Both represented healthy, beautiful women, with a rad side of camp. I was in a horrible car accident when I was 19 where I broke tons of bones, bit off my bottom lip and knocked out my front three teeth. It was a crushing blow as a young lady trying to figure out how I would like to grow into a young women and not feel ugly. While your outer looks are of course only one facet of what makes you, you, it is incredibly hard to feel comfortable in your skin when missing teeth etc. I decided to go ahead and just embrace it. I always wanted to be a pinup, so I had my friend take my first pics of me. I was so nervous I looked like I would throw up, but just kept pushing forward. Kept getting my photos taken and worked hard on looking more comfortable. And in turn, pretending to look comfortable started actually feeling comfortable! I hope a little of my story inspires others to push themselves outside their comfort zones and try anything that they have wanted to! Even if it makes you want to throw up you are so nervous. You never know where it might take you. All my love ❤
