Daytona 500 Is Right Around the Bend

For 2015, the Daytona 500 went with an all new  group qualifying format, groups of cars had to wait in the pits for  5 minutes until about half of their time was up, and  then all go out. This seemed like a little game of cat and mouse for all three sessions. In the first qualifying session there was a wreck that knocked a couple of cars out, which  definitely added to the twist of the new format. I was able to access the pits and garages too thanks to a very helpful security fellow, although I wish I would’ve had some DIS credentials though!

Enjoy The Pics,
Gary
