Default Need some expertise Help

I have a BBC427 talldeck 10.2 block I want to build..I have a set of Jahn std pistons but it wont stay std so Im needing a set of .030 pistons..My question is The Talldeck has a longer piston But Im reading you can use a reg 9.8 piston W/a 400 long??Im also understanding the 10.2 has an extra ring? I have a new set of .400"H"beam rods & a set Of .060 pistons for a 9.8 block will they work? [email protected]

You can use at 9.8 piston with a +.400 rod (6.535").
The "extra ring" you are talking about is for the heavy duty truck pistons. Your pistons should only have the standard three ring set.

I read your question, but I am a small block guy. Not much use to you in this case. LOL Also, there are some people I usually see answering that might not be on the NEW forum yet.
