Default what shifter for a turbo 400

I'am building a pro bracket car (slow) with a turbo 400 and no trans brake, I have a old quarter stick but from 1 to 2 shift is great but 2 to 3 you have to hold the lever back, is there a shifter that you can push to second and then push to third without having to hold the lever back (like my quarter stick)?also I would like the shift cable to come out the back if possible?
Thanks for your help Doug

Once I got used to it, I fell in LUV with a B&M Quicksilver...

Default turbo 400 shifter

Thanks for your input, I bought a procomp shifter (looks like a bandit shifter) and it had no stops junk, wasted money so I knew other racers would know what to buy. Thanks again Doug

I lovingly stroke a Quarter Stick in my pavement hill climb car. I'm up gearing and down gearing the full course. Manual reverse pattern Mopar 904.

PPP. Best shifter money can buy, and nicely priced as well depending on features/model.......Not bulky either, so you can place it anywhere.....
