Default Crankcase evac

Do I need a evac system on a bb chevy normally aspirated?

You need some type of evac on any engine. Wether you use a vacuum pump or header evac system or even a pcv valve the crank case has to be ventilated.

Kinda the rule of thumb, if you have mufflers you will need a PVC system, if you run open headers you will need a header evac or vacuum pump.

Nope, you'll get the biggest oildown on the engine that you have ever seen. If you are running all out/high RPM.
