Default People just amaze me sometimes...

I have had some ads running on RJ looking for a 4-speed car, it says it in black and white "4-speed car wanted" and it does say I will look at others. So when people offer up cars the first thing I ask is "what tranny does it have?" and unless its something nice and they say its an automatic I reply back "no thanks, looking for a manual trans car"
Usually expecting the conversation to end there I had not one but two replies today that made me laugh my ars off!! Here you go, copy and pasted word for word.

beefed up automatic with B@M shifter. You can shift it.

you have to shift it manually its automatic but u still have to shift

Its almost like they are going to convince me that it works just the same as a manual trans :!:

Well if it were me I would have told you it is a manaual (auto) 3 speed transmission and I will install clutch pedal if you'd like.
Think about. You'd have the best of both that way! lol

And yet I get another one last night, heres a guy with a 2010 V-6 Camaro that has paddle shifters on the steering wheel. I told him that if the car was a V-8 I might consider but not a V-6 automatic so here is his reply.

[i]Well my car isn't a V8, and it has an automatic transmission. HOWEVER, it IS an AUTO over MANUAL transmission. So you can shift it into Manual and use the paddle-shifters on the steering column to shift as if it were stick.

heres your sign...
