i have a sheetmetal intake how far should the nozzles stick through the runners an should they be closer to the valve or higher up on the runner running alchol,

With an intake manifold you're kinda limited to how long the nozzle is, usually 1" and use the deflector type nozzle rather than the straight screen type nozzle.
The closer to the head intake runner the better on alcohol, not more than 1 1/2" up from the head if possible. On gas you run them higher, just under the butterflys.
