Default need some advice on what to do with my 383 stroker

well heres the deal ive been racing my 81 camaro for 2yrs now
1/8 mile,383 stroker,350 turbo,12 bolt.started out this year running a
7.66 et,89mph,1.61 60 foot leaving at 2000 rpm on foot brake.so i figure ill try to go faster so i had my trans fully built with all the goodies, changed gears was 5.14 now 4.88s.i know the trans wont make it much faster but more consitant.running a 28x9.5 rear.and add a set of comp. eng. bars.go to the track and run the exact same numbers,so i bring it back to the shop and change out the cam,was running a lunati hydro 104 center line,515 lift both sides, duration at .50 246,change to a comp solid 106 center, duration at .50 256 267,540 534 lift, take it back to the track run the exact same numbers,so i rejet the carb (4150 holley)750 cfm took frt power valve out jetted carb straight across 82s set my shift point from 6400 to 5800,took it back this weekend and ran the exact same numbers.im about to go crazy here, correct me if im wrong but shouldnt i see some sort of change somewhere here.ive been i mechanic for 25 yrs and this is driving me crazy.

any help would be appreciated

Well one thing right off I see is you put in higher gears in the rear, killing anything you already had to start with.

Not really enough info to make a good judgment call but if you are head limited it won't matter what you change it won't pick up a whole lot.

I ran that same cam in a 383 (lunati bracket master cam). Put the 5.14 gears back in and crank that engine 6500-6800 RPM. Your may also be limited on cylinder head and compression.

worlds motown intake,world sportsman cast heads 72cc 200cc intake runners,jw 4500
stall convertor, kieth black dome pistons .105 domes.car wieghs
3300 lbs.the headers are 1 3/4 primaries,
with the 5.14s i was crossing the traps at 7200rpm,thats why i
changed the gears now im crossing at 6200.
this is just really starting to puzzle me i figured i would see a change
one way or the other.
the only thing i havent done is head work planning on doing that this winter, plus when i started this build it was gonna be a street strip car so i also put .051 head gaskets on to keep my comp down.
if i change my head gaskets to a .035 and do some major head work does anyone think this will help?
my goal for next year is to run in the 6.90s any opinions on how to get there would be nice.
i realize most people wouldnt even be complaining because my car will go out and run a 1.61 60 ft,7.66 or 7.65et every pass, and thats how you win races but im just wanting to go faster.
