Default replacing Scamp front end with dart front end

I am in the process of transforming a 73 Scamp with a Demon-Dart front end. Everything looks pretty good except the Scamp has a wider front wheelbase than a Dart or Demon. Therefore making it look funny and not steer right.(rub). What in the Scamp front end that makes it wider? is it in the drum? or the spindle?, or the A-arm? I need to know so I can make the front width the same as a Dart. Thank You. Mackentire
