Default SMALL TIRE NITROUS CONVERTER AND TRANSMISSION

Hey I am here in the middle of nowhere in Idaho building a 67 Nova running a 235 Mickey Drag Radial. Engine is a 396 small block making about 550 hp and I plan to run a 100 to 250 shot of nitrous on top of that. I am about to the point to order a rear end and a tranmission for it. I was wonder what transmission/converter/rear end ratio I should run for a 1/4 mile car? Who would be the best to go through buying a transmission and converter to hold the HP on a budget?

Thanks!

I'm thinking a 250 shot will kill it. I ran a 496ci with a 1050cfm dominator, in my Camaro and anything more than 250 didn't help, actually slowed my 60' times. It ran best with 175 shot. I ran a 4200 stall nitrous convertor, a TH400 with trans brake. 12 bolt diff with spool and 30 spline Toyota axles. Started with 4:11 gears but was revving out a bit much so went to a 3:73 set. The car was much better. Tires were 28 x 14.5 x 15 Hoosiers. It had a Big Shot plate system and I was getting 9.4 sec quarters at 165 mph with 175 shot. You want to start out with a small shot, like 100 hp and slowly work your way up.
