Default 350 tuned port injection

hey guys well my truck is a 1981 chevy silverado and has a 1988 formula firebird 350 tpi in it and when you drive it alot and let it sit over night and try to crank it the next day it fires up for about 1 or 2 sec then dies then all you smell is fuel whats wrong? I have replaced O2 sensor and computer and took it to the local college mechanic shop but still hasnt been fixed. I know it flooding out but what can fix that is my fuel pump weak or should i just convert it to a carb setup? :?: :?: :?: :?:

Sounds like leaking injectors. Dripping fuel into the intake, flooding the engine and taking the pressure away from the system, causing it to die once the standing fuel has been used.
