Fan killed @ NHRA Pheonix by Antron Brown's Slick
Another black eye for the sport will surely come out of this.
Prayers go out to the woman's family. Sad situation!
Doesn't sound good for the way the track crew handled this either.

Funny I can't find anything else.
From NHRA's site
The day got off to a rough start with rain interrupting the first round of Top Fuel, which concluded with a crash involving Antron Brown. Brown was not injured in the accident but the cleanup and subsequent rain delayed action for about two hours

A little more research says the woman was air lifted out.

According to an NHRA statement, the errant tire struck the fan and she suffered serious injuries. The fan was airlifted to a Phoenix-area hospital for treatment. Brown was checked out at the track and released, but he went to another local hospital on his own for further evaluation.

having been into left turns longer then straight line ive noticed that if something goes wrong in drag racing its a big production but in any other form of motor sports grazed over and i dont think its right . its a fact that in all motor sports both particapants and spectators get hurt and or die. but thats a price we pay to enjoy what we love
