Default BURN OUT IN A DRAGSTER

This question is just because i dont know ?? when you do a burn out in a dragster with a power glide,is it done in 1st gear or high gear ? i would surely Bet High gear,,but sometimes you just gotta ask..

When I had my FED, I did'em in high. In fact, I've done high gear only burnouts in every racecar I've owned.....from an 11 second doorcar to my current 8 second Vette roadster. IMO, most cars that run 12 seconds or quicker could do high gear burnouts......

high gear only , never start it in low and then shift , asking for trouble,,I always roll through the water and hit it while car is still rolling ,

Make sure you got a good wet tire, stick it in high gear and have it 8)

thanks for the info.i was pretty sure it was high gear.and to never shift.in the burn out.but man do i see alot of racers do it.but everybody has there own way.

Sometimes a guy that does not use a 3-step that feathers thru a burn out sounds like they are shifting in the water as they snap the throttle to get the tire spinning and then come down to their burnout RPM.

high gear for sure a 3 step is the best way IMO hoosiers 6200 goodyears 6500
