Default Do you talk racing with coworkers?

Do you ever discuss racing with people you work with? Not just your racing. Is the Monday morning chat ever about how you did, the NHRA race on TV, Where Tony Stewart finished, PINKS, SCCA or whatever?

The people I work with in my department couldn care less about anything motorsports related. A couple of them might rarely catch part of a NASCAR race. I think it's just because it's on at the bar. I've took National Dragsters to work to see if anybody even looked at them. Usually they don't even pick it up. They hate the sound of race cars. They don't care for racers. They don't know a Pro Mod from a 12 sec street car.

Did I mention I work at a race track? :?

They have free access to any event they would like to come out and see. Drags, SCCA, Autocross, MCRA, and many others and they NEVER come out unless it's an event they have to work.

are they taking any applications for employment? I have 20+ years in automotive management and would LOVE to work at the track! Then you would have someone to talk to all day about racing...

Man, as much as I hate to say it, I am the olny one here who has a race car/Hot Rod. I have only driven my 69 camaro to work like 2 times... which is a pain cause it has 488's & I have to stay away from the freeway. Everyone I work with has a story about someone they know that had a fast car... I get to hear them ALL!! One dude always talks about his old Maverick Grabber he had... I will shoot myself if he brings up that car again. Mostly work with 4wd folks here.... there are a few cool rack-crawlers though.

I work with a guy who's uncle used to rebuild his 302 Ford after every race. I guess being a Ford I can understand that.

I thought all motors had full cams in them. I guess if a Corvette motor had a 3/4 cam in it, then it would be a V-6?
