Default backhalfing 94 s10 with 4-link question

im using s&w 10-400 pro 4 link kit. my question is on installing the backhalf. ive got the bare frame all leveled up at what i believe is ride height, ive got the frame cut off where the wheel base will be correct which is 27" forward of the old rearend center of axle tube. i was told that i should center the lower 4 link brackets (mine has 4 holes) with the center line of the main frame. the s10 frame turns upward about 6" before where i had to cut it. so that butts my crossmember up against it with only the top 1-1/4" to weld to the existing frame. i was going to gusset and plate this all in for strength. this kit is prewelded and i was going to place it with the center of the mainframe lining between the 2nd & 3rd hole on the lower link bracket. does any of this sound correct????
thanks, brian
