how to pack a chute?

Default how to pack a chute?

how do you guys pack a chute,just got my dragster today and i'm wanting to open the chute to make sure its dry and stuff,,,do you guys put powders on your chutes,,,thanks steve

Hehe, very carefully, and always do it yourself, or let someone do it that you have lot's of confidence in. Most people don't pull them at most tracks, unles it's a national event, when rules apply. Most of the tracks around me run 1/8 mile and usually have plenty of stopping room.

We pull ours out every winter, air it out and just pack it back up. No powders or anything special.

thanks guys,,pictures worth a thousand words!!LOL!!

i'm hoping i don't have to pull mine also,but with it being new to me,i think it would be best to make sure its not wet or tore and for that matter if theres one there!!LOL!!,,steve

Thanks bh I had watched that video before but couldn't remember where I saw it. It's in my favs now.

A guy that used to race with us had his wife pack his chute. My dad told him "Don't make her mad, you'll pull your chute and it'll come out bouncing on the track wrapped in a big ball of duct tape."
