Yes,No, it will not effect the manifold, the only problem with alcohol is that it is harmful to pump/brass nozzles/parts,IE injection nozzles. If you are running injection, you need to clean the system if you leave it set for more than 2 weeks without running the engine (it makes green slime) i donot worry about it myself, but those are recomodations of top tuners. I just go to the track and run it, it runs like crap the first pass but , by the second pass it cleans up and runs the same as always. Ofcourse you can spend lots of time flushing the system, after each trip to the track and it's ready to run like always the first trip down the strip. Bottom line it's up too you .

I noticed your from Australia. Whats the fuel prices there? Reg. unleaded is just under $4.00 a gal. here. and VP 113 is $380 a drum. Sorry, just curious. On your question, alcohol will work fine with a sheetmetal intake. And if your not going to run for a few weeks its best to pickle your system. You can do that by simply running racing fuel thru your system after running alcohol. Youll be way rich because your jetted for alcohol but it wont hurt anything as long as you dont run your engine very long.

Zipper, I agree. I do empty my lines and blow them out at the end of each race day, probably just a lil anal but every now and then I have to stop and weigh my options. Let me see " drain the lines or chase mama around the bedroom" HUH tough call. Gotta go mama's callin
