Alexander, ARK- (July 13, 2008) Racing action heats up this Saturday night as two of the south’s touring series invade the Greenville Speedway
Racing will get kicked off this Saturday night, July 19th when racers of the Arkansas Motorsport Professional Series (AMP Series) Challenge the talents of drivers from the Southern United Professional Racing Series (SUPR Series) on the Gumbo banks in the heart of the Delta.
Nearly a year has past since the AMP Late Model Series last visited the beautiful 3/8ths mile gumbo oval at Greenville Speedway in Greenville Mississippi. Many of the most popular names in the Mid-South region now fill the roster but it’s the tight point chase that will have teams from both series climbing in their tow rigs and heading to the speedway. The overall goal is the same as always, each team has prepared their car for the 50-Lap feature event. Every driver has high hopes of bringing home a big piece of the $2500.00 winning paycheck along with added awards and bonuses offered on race nights by the two series.
The AMP Series regulars are really looking forward to their first visit at Greenville Speedway this season and being part of the big weekend.
Joe Garrison of Team GRT will provide the AMP pole setter gift certificate award for the sum of $100.00 to the lucky racer who wins the start on the pole position for the feature event.

Larry Shaw racing will provide a $100.00 gift certificate award for AMP hard charger. The lucky driver who charges through the field ending his night, advancing the most positions will win the award.

AMP Series would like to thank our Marketing Partners and encourage all racer, fans and friends to visit with them during the 2008 race season.

AMP Series members/drivers that compete 80% during 2008 with paid membership will be able to have a chance of winning a 28 foot Lift Gate Stacker Trailer presented by Blue Ridge Trailers Inc of Canton, Texas. www.blueridgeliftgate.com
