Default trouble with VIN

Does anyone know what kind of acid to use in order to uncover a VIN that is hard to read? THe VIN is partly missing due to sandblasting before the powdercoating.
Thanks

muriatica acid, will sometimes bring numbers or markings out of metal, but don’t think a vin plat will have enough mass to hold up to the acid.
