Default M/T et drags won't balance

Have a set of 15x10 draglites with 10.5/28 M/t slicks. Problem is the amount of weight needed to balance them. Shook the crap out of the balance machine when we first put them on it. took about 15oz of weight to get them to quit shaking. Anybody else have this problem? How much weight should they use? Have run the mickeys before and never needed that much weight

Default Balance

I would try breaking the bead and try changing the placement of the tire on the wheel 180 degrees. The imbalance of the tire and the imbalanced portion of the wheel could be in the same spot making one huge imbalance area. By changing it 180 degrees it would help balance itself out and require less weight.

Thanks for the replys. Turned the tires on the rims and had little effect. Checked the rims for bent(new rims) and balance(ok). Finally mounted them up tubless and they balanced with little weight. Tube are new M/T race tubes. Can't see any specific reason why they won't balance with the tubes. Go figure. Guess they will get run tubless.

when i put tubes in i use baby powder inside the slick & put alittle air in the tube to keep them from balling up & i've never had much problem balancing the wheels. just a suggestion.good luck
