Default Alcohol Anyone??

I have a SBC that makes around 775HP and has run 9.6 @ 140 on Alcohol...What do you think I will lose as far as HP and/or ET if I switch over to race gas?? Looking for anyone who has tried this with their combo and knows first hand what the results were.

Thanks, Joe

on my 434 sbc I went from a gas carb to apd alky and gained .15 in the 1/4 with no tunning, also seen about the same on my big blocks.

Thanks Hammer, My combo was running a sheet metal intake with a split alky dominator (2-2barels) and I want to switch back to a ported cast aluminum intake with a single Dominator for class reasons...I'm just afraid the car might lose alot of ET.

I would be very happy if thats all I lose! I was thinking I would lose 4-5 tenths. Thanks again for your input.

The intake swap may hurt things, getting the carb/intake correct when you change will be key or you may loose a lot more then 2 tenths. If both setups are good there is no reason to loose anymore then this though.
