    Alcohol help

    We ran an enderle alcohol injected 360 small block chev last year. This winter, we are upgrading to a 434 with the same alcohol injection on the motor. What I'm wondering, how much bigger should I go with the main jet and the port nozzles. It currently has 30's in the port nozzles and a 130 in the main and we do not run a high speed bypass. Thanks for any help.

    Don't know how this compares to a hat, but on our 434's with stacks we run 18AS nozzles and between .085 and .105, depending on the weather.

    Do you know what those jet sizes convert over to in Enderle. Also, do you run a high-speed bypass?

    You can not blindly ask on a message forum what nozzles to use without knowing altitude and air density.

    Excellent source on Mechanical Injection, including all of the formulas needed to figure out what size nozzles and pill to use based on altitude and air density. The book centers mainly on blown applications, but is applicable 100% to normally aspirated as well.

    I agree. Have your system flowed by one of these guys. I had mine done by koehler injection. All I did on my motor was a head change. Went from a conventional head bbc to a big chief setup. I could not believe how much of a nozzle change I had to do. The motor runs awesome and it took only a couple passes to get itfine tuned for the day . Well worth the money spent!!!!!

    The guy who's building the motor has everyhting to do it there. He builds mostly blown alcohol por-mod stuff, so it likely is a good idea to have the system flowed. When you did yours, what did you all take with you? Just the pump and barrel valve, or do you take everything includin the fuel lines and fuel cell. Thanks for the advice.

    The more you have to flow the better the results. I even included a special pre pump fuel filter that I use on my car. Wanted to see if it would be a restriction.
