Default Converter ID?

I have Purchased a 10"Converter from a Fella on the West Coast. He has said that this Converter is a CONTINNENTIAL Brand?Although,i have NOT been able to find any Markings indicating that?It does have 4,1/2"x1 1/2"Metal strips, with the #15 on them?that i'm guessing are Balance weight's?It does have the 6 Bolt Flange with the Heavy Ring.Painted Gloss Black.
He Claims it was the Twin to another Coverter that came from Contennential?
The application!Blown Alky 500" BBC,Glide with a Turbo Spline.
Any Help,or thoughts?
THANKS

I don't think I would ever buy a used converter unless it was a good friends that bought it new and I knew just exactly what it was...but maybe I am paranoid. The odds it is right for your combination would be slim,in my opinion.

Default Converter

He has ran almost the Exact Combo that i run Now!
BBC 526 Rodeck Akly Inj.14-71.
He did go a Fairly Desent 6.90 @ 200mph.Which is OK?
He has now switshed to a Blown Hemi with a B&J 3-Speed,so theres were the Converter has came from!
As for the 6-bolt mounting Flange, when you step up to a combo like this? Those few Extra Bolt are NESSesary,to couple the Power to the Trans!
THANKS
